Poland Live Train Tracking
Poland's rail network is operated primarily by PKP (Polskie Koleje Panstwowe), the state railway holding company, with PKP Intercity running long-distance and express services and regional operators such as Kolej Mazowiecka, Polregio, and Koleje Slaskie covering local and commuter routes. The network covers around 19,000 kilometres of track connecting Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan, and Lodz. This page tracks Polish trains using timetable-based position interpolation from official PKP timetable data.
PKP Intercity's Pendolino trainsets, branded EIP (Express InterCity Premium), are Poland's fastest domestic trains, reaching 200 km/h on upgraded sections of the Central Trunk Line (Centralna Magistrala Kolejowa) between Warsaw and Krakow, completing the journey in around 2 hours 10 minutes. EIC (Express InterCity) and TLK (Twoje Linie Kolejowe) services cover the rest of the intercity network at lower speeds and fares, with TLK being the budget option with more stops.
Warszawa Centralna is Poland's busiest railway station, serving as the hub for Pendolino, EIC, and TLK services as well as Warsaw's SKM commuter rail. Krakow Glowny, Wroclaw Glowny, and Gdansk Glowny are the other major regional hubs. International connections run from Warsaw to Berlin (via EC trains, around 6 hours), Vienna, Prague, and Kyiv, the last of which has taken on added significance as a key humanitarian and passenger corridor since 2022.
Tickets for PKP Intercity are sold through the official app and website (intercity.pl), with discounted advance fares released around 30 days before departure. Regional operators sell tickets through their own apps (Kolej Mazowiecka, Polregio) or at station machines. A Bilet Metropolitalny and various regional day passes offer unlimited travel within specific voivodeships for commuters and tourists covering multiple short journeys.
Poland has invested heavily in rail modernisation since joining the EU, upgrading the Warsaw-Krakow, Warsaw-Gdansk, and Warsaw-Poznan-Wroclaw corridors to support 160-200 km/h running. A planned Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (Central Communication Port) mega-hub near Warsaw aims to link a new high-speed rail network across the country with a new international airport, though the project remains in the planning and land-acquisition phase.
