Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (such as email address if you contact us), technical data automatically collected when you use the site (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URLs), and anonymous usage analytics to understand how people use TrainTrackings. We do not require account registration. We do not collect payment information — all ticket booking is handled by third-party official operators.
How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to: provide and improve the TrainTrackings service; monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues; understand how users navigate the platform to improve UX; respond to enquiries you send via our contact form; generate anonymous, aggregated statistics about train data popularity. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
TrainTrackings uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Ads are only shown after you have given cookie consent via our consent banner — Google's Consent Mode v2 is implemented to ensure ad_storage remains denied until you accept. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (such as the DSID, IDE, and __gads cookies) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) or by visiting optout.aboutads.info. For more information on how Google uses data when you visit our partners' sites, see: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We use the following third-party services which may process your data under their own privacy policies: Google AdSense (advertising, see Advertising section above), Supabase (database infrastructure, hosted in EU), Vercel (hosting and CDN), Google Analytics 4 (anonymous usage analytics). When you click links to official booking sites (e.g., Amtrak, National Rail, irctc.co.in), you leave TrainTrackings and are subject to those sites' privacy policies.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Union or UK, you have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including: the right to access data we hold about you; the right to rectification; the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"); the right to object to processing; the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@traintrackings.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you're in the EU/UK and are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU).
